Andrew Pommier | Artist Network Program

Andrew Pommier is a lad who has always loved painting and drawing. Art school (in the Renaissance world of Florence, Italy where which brought forth the galloping wonders of experience he had never tired) allowed him to escape the small Canadian mining city he grew up in. Art has given him the opportunity to explore many places in the world; showing internationally with solo shows both in New York, USA and Sydney, Australia, as well as being in many group shows that have been either close to home or across an ocean or two.

His art mixes the polish and rawness of the creative process. Left exposed are the rough pencil lines referencing sketches from his steadfast companion" his sketchbook. The hurried daily records are then contrasted with deftly polished lines in paint, which contain the result of a darkly humorous reflection of the ironic collision between the constructed world of man and the natural world. The last four years have been spent living in Vancouver, and when not engrossed in a dark studio he can be found on his bike laying down wicked long skids on its eastside streets.

Alex Knost Bonzer | RVCA Surf

Alex Knost pays homage to The Campbell Bros and their revolutionary surfboard design, the Bonzer. The Bonzer was the first standardized tri-fin surfboard created in 1970 by Malcolm and Duncan Campbell. Over the past year, Knost's friendship with the Campbell Bro's has become a catalyst for several retrospective art exhibitions, exclusive clothing collections, and custom shaped boards. We are honored to commemorate the Campbell Brothers and their forward-thinking surfboard designs with this RVCA x Campbell Bros collection. Moments At Home | Charles Collet

Having spent 20 years skateboarding, a decade of which included pro status, CharlesCollet recently found himself questioning the next steps in his career. Having always shown a keen passion for woodworking, Charles spent the last year studying the art of marquetry in his hometown of Grenoble. Having moved west to Bordeaux upon graduating, we caught up with Charles in his humble new abode to discuss life, skateboarding and his new found love for craftsmanship.

Damage Frito | Alex & Ellis

RVCA Advocates Alex Knost & Ellis Ericson journey south of the boarder in search of uncrowded line-ups, cold beers & warm waves. With a few unorthodox shapes in hand... here's what they found. Photos by Delon Bone, video by Jimmy Jazz James, song by White Fence.

Damage Frito | Alex & Ellis

For Californian surfers, Mexico is always a blip on the radar, providing an easy escape from many the overcrowded lineup. In “Damage Frito”, RVCA Advocates Alex Knost & Ellis Ericson pack up the van and head south of the border to find a mixed bag of right pointbreaks, some playful, many exciting. From gliding across slow, Malibu-esque walls to threading through fast, hollow sections, the unique lines drawn by both surfers is very pleasing to the eyes. As they trade waves and swap boards, our only thought is that we wish we were there. Photos by Delon Bone, video by Jimmy Jazz James, song by White Fence.
